Prof Pratikno is Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs, driving education, healthcare, youth development, and disaster resilience—key priorities in President Prabowo Subianto’s “Asta Cita” vision for a stronger, more prosperous Indonesia. He plays a pivotal role in advancing 5 of the President’s 7 priority programs. A core focus of Prof Pratikno’s leadership is ensuring a cohesive, cross-sectoral approach to human development. His ministry has oversight of 8 ministries and 10 government agencies, including those responsible for education, health, women & children, family planning, youth affairs, and disaster response. Made substantial contributions to the planning, design, and evaluation of national poverty reduction programs (including PNPM, PKH, subsidy reforms, and non-cash assistance), the development of the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion, the National Social Security System, Government-to-Person (G2P) payment mechanisms, various disability-related regulations and development facilitation frameworks, as well as the development of integrated service and referral systems for comprehensive social protection. In addition, led the formulation of the National Action Plan for the SDGs, the revision of the SDGs 2030 Roadmap, and the preparation of Indonesia’s Voluntary National Review (VNR) to the United Nations. Currently involved in preparing the Economic Transformation agenda and the Long-Term Development Plan 2020–2045, along with priority programs related to energy transition, low-carbon development, Food Estate, bioeconomy, and geopark development, among others.
Wempi Saputra has served as an Executive Director of the World Bank Group (WBG), representing the Southeast Asia Voting Group (SEAVG), a diverse constituency of 11 countries: Brunei, Fiji, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, Tonga, and Viet Nam. Arie has been the Deputy Director of Data Science and Governance of the Supreme Audit Institution of Indonesia (Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan/BPK) since February 2025. He is responsible for managing BPK's data collections, processing, analysis, and dissemination, as well as developing BPK's data governance and data science applications based on emerging technologies (i.e., Artificial Intelligence/AI), including the data domain of BPK's enterprise architecture. Before that position, he had more than 10 years of experience as one of BPK's full-stack developers and 4 years as the Head of General and IT for BPK's South Kalimantan Office, and as the Head of IT Performance Management. Between the posts, he graduated from the doctoral program of the Faculty of Technology Policy and Management at Delft University of Technology in 2021.
